Hi, I recently went to the hospital because I had a period that lasted two weeks. I had no cramps, no pain at all. They told me that I was not anemic. They told me to use naproxen 500mg but they didn't give me a prescription, so I brought some aleeve and took two every 12 hours. My period sort of stop but I did get occasional bleeding when I was stressed or upset well anything involving my mother. Now Its almost a month I feel like I should go see a GYN to talk about birth control. And I was wondering to see them to provide me with this medication do the have to do like a physical exam? I am 16 years old. I am not sexually active. Please Help cause all this painless blood is making me nausea.

I would imagine if you went to a GYN that he/she would want to complete an examination to be sure there's nothing physically wrong with you.
