    Can my parents?
Can my parents open a checking account for my duaghter without my knowledge? Or one of those Upromise college savings programs and such? Without my permission? I didn't know that was allowed. I thought they needed a parent or guardian signature.

I don't think they need any permission. College funds are good idea and I don't know why you are upset about it. What difference does it make if every little bit helps, jenniepepsi ?

Definitely, they can open a Upromise account. But a checking account would require a SSN.

Yes, they can. It's their money, if they want to give some to your daughter, that's their right. If they want to secure it by putting it into an account, or a college fund, that's just good planning.

Why are you upset about this?

I'm not upset lol. I just didn't know they could, cause I had no idea, and it confused me how they did without me there. That's all.
