    Ceiling fan light switch replacement
I am trying to replace the switch on ceiling fan light kit. The light has three bulbs, a white and black wire from each. The switch has 2 black wires. The ceiling fan has a white wire coming down to connect and then one of the black wires from the switch connects to the green wire of the fan? What does the other black wire from the switch connect to and what does the white wire from the fan connect to? The light came on when I first connected it but blew so I guess I had it connected wrong. I have tried all kinds of other connections and can't get it to work.

    KISS

All of the whites of the fan get connected together. That means bulb sockets, and the neutral to the fan motor become neutral in for the fan & light.

All of the blacks from the bulb sockets get connected together and to one end of the switch. The free end of the switch is now light power.

You should end up with a white/black and blue free wires.

White is neutral to the fixture.

Usually black & Blue are tied together and become power UNLESS separate switches are used for the fan and light.

Are you sure the fan has a green? It might be blue.
