I've been wracking my brain trying to figure this one out. There is a little girl (I think she's a redhead) living in a house on a river, which one day burns down (it might have been due to an earthquake). She thinks she'll never see her parents again, but they are reunited at the end of the film. In the meantime I think she has adventures on the river. Sorry for the lack of detail, but it's been years!
