When the residential A/C unit runs for 15-30 minutes and the compressor is warmed up, the compressor shuts down. After a few minutes the compressor tries to restart but stops and goes into a cycle of trying to restart and failing. This unit is less than 1 year old!

Could be a weak run capacitor OR you might need to add a hard start kit. It could also be overcharged with refrigerant.
