    how do i transpose s=2 pi r squared + 2 pi r h. h being the subject.
    This is a formulae for finding the area for a cylinder (the 2 ends + the surface area). I need to transpose it for h. r = raius, h = height.

    Your just getting confused, so I removed the confusing portions:

    I'll bet you can do this problem? It's virtually the same:

    s=2cyy+2cyh; solve for h

    What do you get?
