Domestic electrical power on and off
We have a 1920's summer cottage with very old wiring and a fuse box. Tenants are there now and report that power keeps going out, then coming back on. No fuses are blowing, and the outages are lasting from a few seconds to a minute. Any thoughts? Neighbors are not having this problem, just our house. Help!

Yep. These is a loose connection in some of the wires of incoming power. Problem is, it could be on the power company side or your side. Can be on the pole, service drop or in your fuse box. Very, very rare, would be an intermittant main fuse.

It would be useful to determine if only some of the 120 circuits are affected. This assumes a 240/120 service.

You might want to start with the power company.
