How do I find the going rate for apartments in my area
How do I find out the average rate for apartments in my area, Bloomfield. Pittsburgh, Allegheny co, PA. My landlord raised out rent 50.00 last year and then 25 this year. He originally wanted to do 50. Again. He even prefaces by saying you are the best and cleanest tenants I have, but costs are going up!

Hi limturner, local newspapers in the classified section are your best indication of rental rates. Just pick up a paper each from the areas you want to investigate.

There are rental clauses written in in every rental agreement. I don't wonder rents are going up, costs for all utilities are sky high even in residential areas.

Call up other apartment complexes, look in the newspapers, look on craigslist and more.

    Hi, limturner!

Around here and nationwide, many grocery stores will have free circulars with apartment listings in them.

    Thanks!
