My daughters dad pays no child support and hasn't seen her in 3 years what can I do
I need to know what I can do since my daughter's dad has not seen her or paid child support in 4 years and has not tried to contact us. She is deathly afraid of him and we are not sure why. She doesn't want to see him and she is afraid he is going to steal her. We live in the state of Florida. What are my choices of what I can do. He's not on her birth certificate cause he was in prision in TX when she was born and didn't see her until she was 3 weeks old. He's been an alcoholic and drug user. He committed armed robbery back in 1986 was put on parole and has violated that 3 times.
    What can I do.

Is there a child support order? Are there custody orders in place?

No there is nothing. I have been raising her by myself. I am her biological mother.

Then you need to apply for child support. You need to go through the steps to prove neglegence but as of right now he doesn't owe any except for moral purposes.

First he does not owe you any child support, since you never went to court for any.? Why do you think he would just pay you.

Next he has no visit rights since he also does not have a child visitation order in place.

But you also don't have a court order giving you full legal and physical custody either.

With his record even if he wanted visits, most likely you could make it supervised, and with her scared of him, perhaps even court ordered counseling and court supervised visits to work out those fears.

My question is do you want support or do you just want him out of your life?
