I have a remote control harber breez model aer52bp5lkrc there was just a light in the ceiling got it wired got coes same in fan as in remote when I turn the wall swith on the fan and light is on on the fan the remote will not turn the light or the fan off what should I do

I have a harber breez remote ceiling fan the codes are the same in fan as in remote when I turn on wall light switch light and fan both are on remote will not turn them off help please
