This has NEVER happened before. I have the most regular periods in the world. The first few months of not getting it, I attributed it to stress, etc, but now I'm scared. I DO NOT get regular check ups because it seems as though every time I DO GO, something is WRONG... I've has cervical displasia before, etc. This is just not normal and it feels like I'm about to get it sometimes, I get pressure and little cramping, but NOTHING. I really don't know what it could be.

Perimenopause? I'd make a doctor's appointment, if I were you. (And nothing will be wrong if you don't go?)

Well, there's a lot of things that can cause your period to stop. You mentioned every time you would go for check up something was always wrong. That's probably really a sign that you should have kept going to your check ups. Ignoring things doesn't usually make them go away.

Were you treated for your displasia? It's really important for you to go back to your doctor. There's so many things that could cause it, it's impossible for anyone online to diagnose you.

Could you be pregnant? Have you taken a pregnancy test?

You're 41, so this could be perimenopause, as has been mentioned, but you won't know until you see your doctor.

I know you're worried, but not knowing won't make it go away. Wouldn't you rather know, have it treated, then keep worrying and possibly have something seriously wrong that could be treated if you caught it early enough?

I dont know where to put my answer to this....sorry (SITE IS NEW TO ME). I know I'm not pregnant, I've taken a few tests. I hate having to respond to your question you asked "Wouldn't I rather know than worry?", with this answer, but I feel it's the only TRUE amswer I can give at this time. I lost my only child, a daughter Stephanie, who had just turned 20, 21 months ago, and to be perfectly honest, maybe this is God's way of ending my heartache and sending me to the only place I'd really rather be anyway....WITH HER. I thank EVERYONE for their input, I read all of them AND the sites that some lead me to. I will eventually get to the doctor to find out what's going on. Thanks EVERYONE for your time and caring.

You might want to rethink this. Your daughter would certainly want you to. I had ignored some symptoms and then, last fall, ended up in the hospital three different times with severe anemia and a wild case of breast cancer that demanded surgery. Prescription meds and I became good friends, and I learned a lot of new words (I'm a librarian and like to learn new words, but not that way!). Please don't go down that road. You really don't want to take lots of prescription meds and learn new words. It's not worth it.
