    First you need to have at least 10 years out from the date of your conviction. Second you need to not be convicted of another crime in that time. Third contact an attorney to handle this for you. In some states it's different. Be prepared to have to wait at least 6 or more months before the expungement goes through and the Judge signs an order of expungement for you. Good luck.

    If this the only conviction ?

    You hire an attorney, they make a motion with the court to expunge it. The judge reviews it, your attorney show how you have worked hard, stayed out of trouble, perhaps got more education and deserve the chance
