Much to my surprise, bloat is not a big problem in at least young Labs, considering the common inhaling of their food. The dog guide school may lose more dogs to choking on their food than bloat. Having the dog throw up due to over rapid eating is another problem. They recommend spreading the food out on a cookie sheet or something or large rocks in the food dish to slow eating.

And thank you for adopting a rescue.
Thank you so much you don't need to thank me for having rescue dog. We though why get a pup when there so maney dogs needing a home all they want is well treat food exersise and warm bet and a family to love them, and they will get all of them here a new family member will be loverly for us and I not working now so time I have and we love great danes and so maney people get them not looking at how big they get and that they are people dogs and need human company not hard for me and my family.
