    Drain smell in bathroom
We just remodeled our bathroom and we had a drain installed on the tile floor very close to our toilet. We put in the drain so we can wash the floors often and drain the water out of bathroom easily. This floor drain is connected to the toilet drain. We don't use the bathroom too much. We have noticed a sewer type of smell coming from the drain. We poured some water and the smell went away but it is back again. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

If a floor drain isn't used very often the trap seal will evaporate allowing sewer gas to enter your home.
To prevent this from happenings pour a quart of cooking oil in the trap. Good luck, Tom
