Okay, I have a question about loans and financial aid. I just got into the school I wanted to go to, and it costs around 70,000 for the two years that you pay up front three different times. Even though my parents made together this year over 100k I have 5 other siblings so would I be able to get financial aid? Or should I stick to loans, and if so, how do school loans work?

Your parents need to complete a FAFSA survey. Each school uses that to determine financial aid eligibilty. Number of siblings is taken into account. You really should speak to your HS guidance counselor or the school financial aid office who can explain this all to your in detail. It's a bit too much to answer here.

No, your parents fill out the FAFSA. I believe its due by 2/1

Sorry Scott, had to spread some more. I believe last year the FASFA was upped to 3/1 since taxes have to be pretty much completed for filing. I may be wrong, but I think I remember having to have mine updated by 3/1

For the last time I had to fill it out it was due in June, but I think that's because my daughter was going into grad school.

I agree it should be pushed back to when the parents have the most current tax data.

For a family size of 6, and AGI of 100K, you will not be eligible for Pell Grant, but you may be able to get student loans, either unsub. Or plus loans. You need talk to the financial aid office about loans as well as the deadline of FAFSA application, the date varies between different schools.
