Brother has let his home out of concern for his well being? Abandonment?
We are concerned that either his food or he was being drugged during his sleep. So I suggested he leave and now his wife is saying he has abandoned them. They know where he is, has continued to spend time with his daughters and continues to pay household bills. Is that considered abandonment in Ohio?

No, but he needs to file formal separation paperwork, file for divorce and get support formal though the court

Please pay more attention to posting guidelines. There is a Read First sticky in the Divorce forum (where this was moved from) that directs questions of a legal nature to this forum.

Not even close to abandonment. Abandonment can be used as grounds for divorce, but abandonment would have to be total. But I agree that he should not wait for her to file, but should file for at least a separation.

As to the drugging issue, did he got to have a Tox screening done? If he has no concrete evidence of being drugged why would you suspect that?
