    Megane won't start
I have a 1995 renult megane, when I turn rhe ignition key there is a small buzzing noise but the engine does not turn. I don't think this is the immobiliser because the car usually turns then cut out. Do you think this might be something simple like the starter motor.

    5. Reconnect everything.

    7. If car doesn't start, disconnect negative battery terminal and replace starter solenoid.

If you hear buzzing and a clicking sound solenoid it trying to work but the starter is frozen and what you say does sound like it. Then again the battery does not have enough juice in it to turn the starter you will get the same effect. Can you start the car with a jump start. If yes then the starter is good and something wrong with the battery or the charging system to the battery. When the car is running you should have 13.8 volts to 18 volts across the battery depending on how far discharged is the battery. If you can not turn the car over with a jump then I would think it could be the starter as long as the engine is good
