    1994 honda civic transmission fluid
Should I flush transmission on 1994 hond civic that has been sitting in garage for 5 years. Engine has 130k miles. What other issues should I be concerned about?

Yes. I would change all fluids--engine, transmission, brake, coolant, and power steering. Ditto for fuel in the gas tank. Then, you should be fine.

Took car to NTB for tranny flush and they would not do the flush because of the mileage. Said something about metal shavings would probably cause transmission to malfunction.

There are so many misconceptions about changing fluids that it's ridiculous. Get a pan and ratchet wrench and do it yourself; otherwise, take it someplace else. It won't hurt a thing to change the transmission fluid and it may save it from sever damage. Go by what your Owner's Manual or Service Manual says--not someone at NTB.
