I filed my Response for Rule to show cause, what is Discovery?
I was served with a Petition for Rule to Show Cause. All of the accusations in that were all false. I filed my Appearance, and then Response. I submitted my response with 7 exhibits attached. ( It was a really great response! ) and they now are going in front of the Judge to ask for a continuance ( before the date of our hearing ) and mentioned they don't have enough time to produce "Discovery" What does that mean?? Would that have to do with my evidence submitted?

"Discovery" is a legal term and it means the entire efforts of a party to a lawsuit and his/her/its attorneys to obtain information before trial through demands for production of documents, depositions of parties and potential witnesses, written interrogatories (questions and answers written under oath), written requests for admissions of fact, examination of the scene and the petitions and motions employed to enforce discovery rights. The theory of broad rights of discovery is that all parties will go to trial with as much knowledge as possible and that neither party should be able to keep secrets from the other (except for constitutional protection against self-incrimination). Often much of the fight between the two sides in a suit takes place during the discovery period.

Is there a legal way for me to ask the other side what thing, evidence or discovery they have?
