    Craftsman riding mower dies
We have a Craftsman riding mower that has suddenly stopped running after about four minutes of mowing. Gas flows through the fuel filter just fine. I read a similar post from 2009 where the final suggestion was "blockage in the fuel inlet above the needle". Any other ideas?

Yes, it starts and runs for about 4 minutes then dies. We make a circle around, restart, and it goes again. Model? Don't know but can look it up tomorrow...

The first and simplest thing to check is the gas cap. If the little hole in the center is plugged it will run for a while and then stop because no air can get into the tank. Just try running it, not mowing, without the cap on and see if it stops. If not then that is your problem. If it still stops and the gas flows freely after the filter then the problem is more than likely in the carb.
