    Mall ban
I'm only eleven years old, over five months ago I was banned from the mall for shoplifting, trying to steal a book. I was so stupid, please don't yell at me, I'm not a bad kid, I regret it, really, I do, and I don't feel sorry for myself, I think I deserved a lot worse than a tresspass ticket.
It says I'm banned from the mall for a year, althrough it would expire on the date, it says that I have to stage a re-instatement interview with the securitay superviser and operations master, if I'm under seventeen my legal guardian will have to attend it with me.
What I'm worried about what happens if I don't? Will they phone me? Will I go to jail? Or will I be banned from that mall forever?

Why wouldn't you go for that interview? It sounds like you are remorseful and will behave in the future (at that mall as well as at any others you shop at).

My dad found a job in Ohio and we're moving there in about two weeks, it might be permanet, so I'm wondering what will happen.

If you aren't going to be living there, why do you care if you're banned? You only have to have an interview WHEN/IF you want to re-enter the Mall.

Do your parents know about this?

If you think you might want to shop at this mall again someday and even just to cover your butt, tell them now that you've moving to Ohio and that you are very sorry for what you did. Write them a nice letter, or even tell them in person if you can get over there. That way, they can "close the books" on your case.

Agree - if there's a chance of coming back, yes, by all means explain what has happened and the move.

And did I miss if the parents know?

As I understand what you are saying, at the end of the one-year ban, if you want to return to the mall you have to arrange the interview.

    6 months from now.

No intervew, no reinstatement. Your choice.

Just one last thing, would it count as a criminal record?
