Probably worth several hundred dollars - depending on condition and the particulars of it's printing. Try Civil War Price Guide or similar site by doing a search on "confederate currency".
Hi, jlira!
Do you know if it's genuine currency from that time, please? Since the Civil War, there have been many counterfeits produced.
Thanks!
Today is July 22, 2011 and I see the SAME bill, same date and number in an auction. AT LEAST ONE must be a fake!
Where is the serial number printed the one I have HAS A STAMP ON THE BACK SIDE WHICH IS FADED It's a BLUE BOX IN IT I CAN MAKE OUT THE NUMBER I BELIEVE TO READ 1884 THERE IS ALSO SOME Hand writing above this which says issued today 23 1863 then I can't read what else it says Ill have to get a magnifier to see if I can pick up does this sound like anything you've seen
