I am trying to determine how to change the stock air filter on my 2006 6.0 Ford diesel. There is very little room so if I get one end out the other end will not budge.

They can be pretty tight. Usually, you can undo two latches on the top and side, lift the lid on one end, and remove the old filter. The end you are referring to likely has two tabs that fit into two slots.
