I have a garage that is detached from my house, and I want to be able to turn the garage flood lights on and off from inside my house without running wires to the house for a switch. I also want to be able to turn the lights on and off via a manual switch from inside the garage. The solution to me seems to be a 2-way circuit with one switch being manual (mounted inside the garage), and the other a wireless relay (mounted inside the garage with wireless switch in the house). However, I have been unable to find a wireless switch and relay that the manufacturer says will work with a manual switch. Any suggestions for a solution are appreciated. Thank-you.

Check at places like Menards Lowe's or HD. I just bought a remote switch that controls a receptacle that can be plugged into any outlet. They also make versions to control hardwired circuits. About $15.

Thanks for the reply, but I think that is a bit overkill for what I need.

Here's a cheaper option:

and one of these: X10 Mini Controller - X10 / X-10 Remote Control Keypad - MC10A - Smarthome

While you could wire an RF based on/off switch to an SPDT relay and make the relay behave as a 3-way switch, the problem would be is if there was a power failure the light would randomly choose the on/off state.

Pulse on, pulse off with a mechanically held or electrically held lighting relay could work, but we're getting more expensive here.

Hi, the easiest solution is to use any wireless switch and add the 230V relay with one NO and NC connections. Connect the coil of relay to be operated by wireless switch and use the NC and NO to connect to classic 2 way system.
