Can a watersoftner that uses salt cause a person to get too much sodium?

Yes. The person can ingest too much salt if a water softener that uses salt is installed. The person needs to drink bottled water in that case to avoid taking in too much salt every day. I live where there is a water softener salt system and I cannot drink this water - bathe in it yes, drink no. So I must use bottled water or mineral water I get from a local underground spring.
