    Filing Lien on a property
I invested in a property with another person... the property and mortgage are entirely in his name, and there was a partnership agreement executed at the beginning of this process.

My dollar investment into this property has been 4X that of my partner, and we are now trying to sell the property. My partner has said and done some things that are making me very nervous, so I would like to file a lien against the property in order to protect myself and what I've invested into this property.

Is there a standard form that I can use to file with the clerk's office and where can I get a copy of this?

    Hello ct:

You've spent four times what your partner did? HIS name is the ONLY one on the title? You're getting nervous?? You want to protect yourself??

    Dude, can you spell LAWYER??

To file a lien, you need to obtain a judgement against your partner. The partnership agreement should protect your interest. But I agree you need to consult an attorney NOW.
