I have a Harber Breece ceiling fan with lights and is remote controlled. The lights work but the fan does not. I can hear it hum at the different speeds when I press the remote or manually pull the chain. So what is the promblem. Help

Remove the remote receiver from the ceiling, wire the fan without it. Does it work from the pullchains then/
