Hi,

I was on F1 status in 2009. On May 2010, I moved to the H1B status. I bought a new house (first home) in July 2009. Since I was on F1 status, I could not claim the first home buyer tax credit ($8k). But now since the deadline is extended and I am on H1B status, could I claim this tax benefit in my 2010 tax returns?
