Uncommon Rough In Dimension when installing a new toilet
I am replacing a toilet. I want to special order one in a specific color,
So I want to make sure I order the correct one. Toilets are available
In 10, 12, and 14" "Rough In" dimensions. When I measure from the
wall to the center of the closet bolt on the existing toilet, I get 11 1/2".
Which Rough In dimension do I specify when ordering a new toilet?

    Hi HRDCHOPPER:

You'll want to order a 12" rough in toilet here...;)

Most toilet flanges are set at 12" from the finish wall to the center of the toilet flange, but with most toilets today this leaves a 1-3" gap between the finished wall and the toilet tank...quite unacceptable really! So, with that in mind, you can be confident that a 12" rough toilet will fit just right with an 11.5" measurement as you presented!

Any more questions just let us know... O.K?
