I want my non biological father taken off my birth certificate, how can I do this? Does he need to know? How much does this cost?

I don't no who my really dad is, but the man on my birth certificate is a bully and I'm scared if he finds out he may turn nastey on my mum. Please help.

A few states allow it to be done.
1.You need to file in Court for paternity disestablishment.
2.A clerk will serve a writ on your non-biological father.
3.Depending on the Court pressure of work the a case will be down for hearing in three to nine months.

How old are you?

If you are a minor, you probably cannot do this yourself--you would need your mother to do it for you.
