The consequences morally or legally.

Does your husband know that your 'friend' fathered your second son?

Why does the wife suspect- is the affair ongoing, or does the child just look like her husband.

In the middle of this mess, there is a child that does not know who his real father is, possibly a husband who doesn't know his second son is not his, another married couple, the husband who's had an affair, and his wife, who is suspicious.

Please tell me you aren't neighbours and all these children play together, one of whom not realizing who his father is.

I'm sure you've thought of the consequences should your husband find out about your affair, and the (likely) years that have gone on with him not knowing his youngest son is not his.

The consequences could cost you your marriage.

Your 'friend' and his wife, should the truth be known, would likely end up in the same boat.

The child in question in the meanwhile, will learn that his mother cheated on who he thought was his father, with another man. Then she had him, and lied about who his real father is. To say the consequences will be emotionally damaging for this young boy is an understatement.

When the truth does come out, visitation and child support are on the table too.

I feel the worries you have are minor, compared to the damage that has already happened to your son, and that will continue to happen to him, until the cheating adults in this messed up situation do the right thing, and come clean about who fathered who, and what they are going to do about it.

Every child has a right to know who their father is.
If the truth comes out one day your child is going to be so hurt that he wasn't told the truth.

What if one day a medical issue arises that runs in your son's father's family but he doesn't know that the man is his father?
