    Do I need to worry?
    Here's an embarrassing one-

My son flushed my Diva cup (flexible silicone cup about 1 3/4" in diameter at its widest and 2 1/4" long) down the toilet. (His sister decided to tattle on him- lucky for me). I am on a septic system

The toilet does not appear blocked (toilet flushed normally- I tried flushing toilet paper down and did not have a problem). What are the chances that it is stuck in the trap and will cause a clog later on? Do I need to pull the toilet up (or have a plumber come and do it) just on the chance that it is still there? Is it going to cause a blockage further down the line that I need to deal with now, or do I just cross my fingers (and have discussion with my son about appropriate toilet behavior)?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

"Here's an embarrassing one-" I'm a plumber and we don't get embarrassed.
We check for clogs in the toilet trap by taking huge handfulls of paper and flushing them down. If it doesn't back up we figure the obstruction has gone on out to the main. Since your toilet has been in use without any backups I would say you're home free. However, I would have a little chat with my son about potty etiquette. Regards, Tom
