I signed a lease agreement for 1 year, the owners sold the house through short sale and served me a 30 day notice to vacate, is my lease agreement still in force?

If the home did not foreclose, but merely go though a short sale, yes, merely write them back, informing them that you have a lease, and the new owners are obligated to honor it.

If you are willing to move, you may offer to allow them to buy your lease. Fairly standard is the lease amount for each month that you move early. And often they pay your moving expenses.

So yes, tell them you don't have to move, remind them of the lease, and go from there
