    ECM motors
    Would appreciate your comments on how to test ECM motors and ECM board . I know that these motors are energy saving and really prices motors . Tks all

    About 90% of the time it is the back of the motor where the control is that is bad not the motor. What brand unit?

    Amana unit . Well any possibility to use Multimeter for testing please??

    Check the item where the finger is pointing. If burnt or chared replace. This is the major cause of ECM motor failure.

    A friend of mine has them available at Zebra and at many HVAC supply shops. See ECM devices.

    He also has a surge protector for the ECM motors. I recommend these parts since I know they work. You could say I did a bit of work on these and some in the HVAC trade might not be happy since these parts are about 15.00 instead of 1000.00 for the assembly.
