Hi I'm not sure you got my question so I'll send again I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan and light the remote stopped working I put in a new 9v nothing changed it is a 2 chain with a switch on the housing of the unit I read maybe it just needs to be reprogramed how do you do that and or what else would you suggest.

If it worked, and then it stopped working, you can check the dip switches and try another dip switch setting. If that doesn't work, you can remove the receiver and wire the fan without it.
