    Causes of continuous spotting
    I had my period last may 20 and until this day june12 I'm still experiencing spotting.. what do you think the possible cause of my continuous spotting?

    Could be a number of possibilities... polyps, if you use a hormonal form of birth control, endometriosis, changes in uterine lining, hormone imbalance, etc.. Best to see your doctor for a determination.

    I went to my doctor last June 4 den she gave the althea pills but the spotting is continuous.. do you think I should be worried about it?

    You could certainly ring your doctor and inquire about it. It can sometimes happen, especially when first starting, that spotting or light bleeding may occur with using contraceptive pills. Some women will experience what is called breakthrough bleeding. This may happen even if they have been using the pill for an extended period.

    It usually subsides after you have been on the pill for a few months... although sometimes a different pill may be a better option.
    This is just one possibility however... any unusual bleeding, especially if it causes you concern, should be mentioned to your doctor.

    Is breaktrough bleeding dangerous?. can it be a sign of pregnancy?.
