Can someone help me interpret this dream?
    Hi, here goes:

I had a dream I was on a sort of flight group training team. It was a small group of us on a plane in the air and we were learning how to fly. Everyone would have a chance to fly the plane for a whole day. Anyway, when I got there I immediately noticed this guy,he was very hot, but didn't have a shirt on and was cocky, so I was surprised when he hit on me. I however, turned him down, or rather I told him that I would get in touch with him and he could not have my number. From then on he ignored me and moved to hitting on all the other girls in the group. In the dream I felt kind of down and wished that maybe I would not have said what I said. That was the first part:

After that, for some reason we had a family day on the airplane (lol) and my family came to visit me. This was also the day that it was my turn to fly.

Now although it was a plane , for some reason I was out in the open air flying seemingly by myself while holding some kind of remote control thing; but I still was responsible for everyone on the plane.

I just remember loving the scenery, mountains, oceans, etc. and feeling so free and alive; but after awhile the remote control just kept slipping and slipping until it dropped and I had tried fly down with all my might to grab it again.

At that point, it was either my mother or someone else ( I can't fully remember) came out and told me to give them the remote immediately and they were going to let someone else fly because I almost lost total control and put everyone in danger, and I could maybe try another time... In the dream I felt like I failed.

    Then I woke up.

I have my ideas of what this dream means, but would like some outside opinions.. Thanks!

Interesting! I'll take a stab at it.

The group you were in, in the plane, were students and you were a student. Typically a man hit on you, and he was not your type, although you had second thoughts. (who knows maybe cleaned up he was a George Cloony).

The taking turns was a big event for everyone, because all would be judged on their ability to apply what they had learned.

The 'family day' could have been graduation day, but was blended with you flying solo. Dropping the remote may have meant losing control, which you did, and for which you got a bit of trouble from your mother, who demanded the remote back so someone else could fly better than you and keep everyone out of danger.

The big question mark is what happened after your failure to retrieve the remote...

It could also be interpreted as pressure from a group learning experience at work, with everyone expected to complete a big project. Yours may not have made the grade, and what you were experiencing was disappointment, or maybe embarrassment at letting everybody down, including your mother.

She plays prominently in this dream.

Curious as to what influence she has over you in 'real' life.

Do you have low self esteem hon?
It sounds to me, (even in the way your explianing the dream) that in the dream, you felt he was too good for you. Then when he hit on you, you were surprised, and declined.
Do you feel you aren't good enough?

Is your mother controlling your life? I only ask because I have a dream over and over again that is a LOT like this (minus the guy part) where I am flying and loving the wonderful colors of the scenery, and then all of a sudden my mother is there, and I can't fly, I try to get away frm her and fly again, but she chases me. My psychologist told me that my mother is controlling and holding me back.

Sounds like that may have been going on here in your dream. Which would explain any self esteem issues.

Please keep in mind, I have NO experience interpreting dreams lol. That's just what I got from it :)
