Hi I have a 3 phase 250 volt 30 amp socket .I want to know if I drop one leg and change the receptacle . Can I plug a 200/230 volt 48/42 amp miller welder in to it ?
Do I just wire nut the extra wire or pull it out of the panel ?

I bought a air conmpressor that operates on 240 volt 3 phase. Would like to run it at my house. I have 220 single phase. Is there a way to do this?

You can either:
- Install a phase converter.
- Replace the motor with a like HP rated single phase motor.
