    Is it compulsory to have a witness on divorse
    I wan to ask that my husband gave me divorce on 20,October 2008 from america and I lived in pakistan means he was not here at that time and I was not well at that time as my baby birn on 20 September 2008.the witnesses he wrote was his father and mother only so did I get divorce or not

    If he has divorced you from the US, in the US court system, did you not have your own lawyer in Pakistan? What papers do you have now, that show the date of divorce, and how do you know if they are authentic.

    I think you should go and see a lawyer yourself. Bring what papers you have been sent from your (ex)husband, and ask the lawyer to verify whether they are in order, and if you are, or are not divorced.

    If you are divorced, your lawyer should be able to secure some paperwork to show that it is final, and you are no longer married.
