i live in texas and have a question regarding child custody laws. in texas, any man may sign a birth certificate without proof of paternity. if a person signs a birth certificate claiming a child as his and the biological father doesnt argue or fight for custody, what rights does the biological father have later if he changes his mind regarding custody and child support of the child? would the person who signed the birth certificate have to relinquish his rights to be given to the biological father or would it be a given right and taken from the one who signed?
