What about when your daughter doesn't want a party for her high school graduation?
My daughter sent out announcements to family members about 3 weeks prior to her
Graduating from high school. Since she chose not to have a party, we did not expect any
Gifts or money from anyone. Some did send a card with money, but the majority of my
Husband's family, cousins , aunts, uncles, that live closeby, within 30 min. did not even
Acknowledge her graduating. They did not email her a congrats, they did not send a card,
They did not even communicate with her. My question is, is that appropriate? Like I said
In no way did we expect a gift or money, she just expected to be acknowledged. And
They said nothing. They didn't send an email saying congratulations, they never sent
A card, they never even touched base with her. These are relatives that communicate
On a daily basis with me, and the family. Yet, nothing was said to me nor the family nor
The graduate in acknowledging she was graduating.
