    Voluntary child support
I'm in the process of possibling entering into a Voluntary Support Agreement for my 9 month old daughter. I went through the Child Support Enforcement Agency. I was told during a group interview that I could file a motion for the court of all expenses I have incurred until he begins making payments. There was no guidance provided on how this is done. Does this still apply if I do the Voluntary Agreement and should I obtain legal representation. He is currently only receiving unemployment benefits and I am considering agreeing to a very modest amount. I need to know if this is the best option based on my situation.

    Thanks for your time.

I would require, in the agreement, that he periodically (yearly, perhaps) report his income, and would have the agreement clearly specify that it can be adjusted if his situation improves. You don't want to be locked into an artificially low support figure.
