I did not receive my notice to appear and reply to my escrow case with my landlord- I just found out that my court date is tomorrow and that I was to reply to this court notice in 20 days- I did not receive any info until today and my court date is tomorrow- did I lose ground being that I did not reply in 20 days

You can appear and request additional time because of improper service ( assuming you were not properly served) But I would show up no matter what.
