I have a basement bathroom where the toilet is on a platform for some purpose and the main sewer drain is beside of it, I was wondering how much higher the toilet needed to be compared to the drain? The main drain is a few inches from the floor so is it possible to lower the toilet so that its not on a huge platform?

Is that main drain Vertical or Horizontal ? Can you snap and post a picture of your bathroom ? Back to you... Milo

I don't have a picture and it would be hard to get one the way the bathroom is set up, the drain is vertical though.
