How do I test a mass air flow sensor on a 1992 4 cylinder toyota pickup 22re engine

This Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) very accurately estimates mass air volume by way of a moving gate inside the housing.
Toyota calls it the measuring plate.

Here's the Key to which circuit is which:
Pin 1 FC is Green w/ Yellow trace
Pin 2 E is Brown
Pin 3 E2 is Brown w/ Black trace
Pin 4 VB is White w/ Red trace
Pin 5 VC is Green w/ Black trace
Pin 6 VS is Yellow w/ Blue trace
Pin 7 THA is Yellow w/ Green trace

If the following aren't correct, replace the MAF:

If that checks out OK, remove the MAF and measure this:

If the MAF acting up, you may or may not have fault codes but you probably need a replacement.
