How do I get my girlfriend to get rid of her attitude?
My girlfriend has the worst attitude when it comes to anything. Sometimes she is nice, and you say one thing the wrong way or she even misunderstands it and the attitude clicks on, and I am really getting tired of it. I am older than her so whenever I say something about it she always says "I'm annoying and complaining." She treats me as if I am acting like her father, but I am not at all, I just want her to respect me like I respect her. I have broken up with her so many times and she comes back and begs me saying she'll change and never does. She says it needs time but it has been 7 months now and no change. I don't want to walk on hot coals with this girl every second of the day.

I need to find a more positive way than breaking up with her to change it. Because every time I get back together with her she will just do it again and won't stop, thinking I won't stay broken up with her.

Never try to change anyone. If they won't change for themselves, they aren't going to change.

Maybe it's time for the final break up.

I agree, you can't change anyone who doesn't want to change, and as you keep allowing her to revert to type then she has no real incentive to change, stop being a doormat, and make a stand for yourself, because while you let her she will continue.

She will only change if its what she wants.

I agree, it is a time for a permanent break. That lasts a life time. Or this will continue. It is over. Act like it is and move on. No matter how much she begs.

Everything worked out in the end. :)
