    Shower faucet seat
My shower faucet seat has gone from hexagon shape to rounded. I tried using the seat removal tool with and without teflon (for a better grip) but the seat refuses to loosen. Any suggestions?

    Welcome John

Be sure u have tool seated correctly and tap with hammer to get a better bite. Use piece of pipe to extend handle length for better leverage. Keep pressure on tool to maintain good contact with seat when trying to loosen.

    Good luck

In that case I take a old screwdriver and put a edge on it with a grinder.
Then I drive it down into the seat.
The sharp edges will bite into the brass and give me enough purchase to put an set of pump pliers and back it out. Good luck, Tom

... also, if you use wrong end of Seat Wrench for - than the end will hit back of the faucet body and won't get proper grip. We sometimes have to cut off ( shorten ) one end so we can get good grip. Yes, tap it with hammer. Edges of Seat Wrench will cut into the seat for better grip.
