I have several. You style your hair around them, work with them. You can't get rid of them.

I have a slight cow lick on my left side... so I part my hair on the right side and it no longer bothers me

Mine just formed... It's right in the center left side of my head and makes me hair look like a big bump... It's impossible to straighten out without burning my scalp with a straightner.
