If someone on probation for domestic violence just had his probation extended for 3 months due to non payment of probation fees (HAS paid his court costs) what is he looking at in terms of punishment if he doesn't get them paid in the 3 months extension,

The PO could have course violate his probation, send him to the judge who could send them back to jail for the probation time.

The person has to be realistic. If they don't pay their probation fees they WILL end up in jail. Getting the probation extended for an additional 3 months shows the Judge has a heart as he's the one who had to approve the 3 month extension in the first place. Have your friend get an extra job, borrow money from his friends or relatives - in short have them do anything to get the money to pay the rest of the probation off or they WILL end up before the same Judge again and this time the Judge will not be as nice and could possibly revoke the entire probation on them and may have them sit in jail on top of that and no, no probation extensions this time.
