I'm 17 years old, with my boyfriend of 1 year and neither of us know much anything about pregnancy. I need help and answers asap!

Yes, it is possible during those dates. No time is 100% safe from pregnancy as some women will ovulate sooner or later than the norm and on occasion at an off time from their own norm.
Here is a place to start: ovulation generally occurs about 12-16 days before the next period is due. (again this can vary from person to person). Ovulation occurs on only one day and the egg is viable for about 12-24 hours (the first 12 are thought to be the best). For a few days prior to ovulation, your body will be preparing, with one way being your discharge will usually become more clear and fluid. This allows sperm to survive until the release of the egg (ovulation) for a few days. Some may hang around for several days, but most die off after 2 or 3 days. Other times of your cycle the sperm will not survive long... no ovulation, no live sperm, no pregnancy.
So while a woman can get pregnant at basically just one day each month, the act of sex can allow sperm to be lying in wait for a few days at least. (this is considered being at your most fertile time) The tricky part is knowing when that might be... you have to get to know your body and cycle well.
If you happen to go by the norm in your cycles, some of those sessions likely took place when you were close to ovulating. Keep in mind, even with good timing pregnancy does not automatically happen, but you do want to be sure and protect yourselves.
See what happens when your period is due on the 12th. If you are pregnant you will obviously have some decisions to make. If not pregnant, consider yourselves lucky and be sure to use birth control every single time you choose to have sex regardless of what day in the month it might be.
I haven't gotten my period yet. When should I test?
It's recommended that you wait at least until you expected your period, and then use first morning urine. So I'd say, tomorrow morning first thing. And I'd buy one of those two packs of tests. Sometimes, the first one will say negative just because there's not enough of the hormone to pick up yet. And then if you're period doesn't start within the next week, you should test again
You could test now. If negative, give it several more days and see if your period is just late. Still no period... test again or see your doctor.
Obviously pregnancy is a possibility, but could also be you are just skipping a month.
I took a test this morning and I got a positive so... pregnant at 17.

Did you and your boyfriend discuss the what if's since pregnancy was a possibility? Hopefully you have close friends you can trust and family who will support in whatever decisions you make. Here too are people, albeit strangers, who will offer support, encouragement, etc. if you need it. Just ask...
Well, I'll admit it was a shock and I know it's not the best thing to have happened to me at this age, but I also know it's a good thing. I mean.. pregnancy is a miracle and a lot of women(even girls my age) would like to be pregnant. So I'm looking it as, not necessarily a good thing, but it isn't a bad thing either. I also believe that every baby is made for a reason. There's no such thing as a mistake.
My boyfriend and I have been discussing it and we're planning on trying to find a way to keep our baby, but we also know adoption is another option. I would never have an abortion. I just think it's completely wrong. We'll go with adoption if we really have to but we're really going to try to figure out a way to keep it.
We told my best friend, his beset friend, and his brother. They've all been supportive and nice and even excited with one of them. They all said they can't see us giving up the baby and that they'd help us out. His brother said "well you have a babysitter!" and my best friend said she'd come visit me(she moved a couple years ago, five hours away) a lot more than she does now. His best friend said he thinks we should keep it and that he'll be there for us and that this is kind of cool. So far we have people that will support us.
As for our parents.. I'm not so sure. My dad once told me if I ever got pregnant he'd kick me out and never support me again. I'm really scared to tell them. I already know we're telling his parents first. They're a little more understanding and... nicer.
I'm sorry to ask such a dumb question, I'm trying to figure something with myself out as is... What pregnancy test did you use? Since you were able to get an early/accurate result.
I hope all goes well for you, my friend was 16 when she had her first child, and she has two now. Her Mom was SUPER strict and so forth, but when it came down to reality, she was actually pretty cool with everything. Granted, it was a HUGE fight, but after wards, she supports and helps out.
I'm 21 with a SLIGHT chance of being pregnant, and believe me, I am scared like crazy if I am to tell my Mom. Not sure how she'll react. So good luck, and I hope it all works out. As scary as it is, it's exciting at the same too.

lovinggale: Any update? A good idea would be to start taking prenatal vitamins if you aren't already, and of course take care in what you eat and drink... try for as healthy choices as you can. Make any lifestyle choices that you know would be good for you and for baby.
